Thanking Those Who Serve
Today, we honor those who serve and have served to keep America free and safe.
Our Veterans and their families make untold sacrifices to give us the freedom to raise our families and live our best lives. For that, we’re eternally grateful.
Since the great American experience began, each generation has fought to keep America great.
Whether it was fighting for our independence from the British or winning “the War to End Wars” 101 years ago today, our brave soldiers put our freedoms ahead of their own lives and safety.
Now, we face a different enemy.
We face terrorist cells and enemies flooding our country with drugs and attempting to defeat us from within.
Now more than ever, we need to be vigilant and honor those on the frontlines of this fight both here at home and abroad so that the efforts of those who have served since we took up arms since we declared our Independence won’t be in vain.
Our military personnel and first responders will have no greater friend in Congress than me.
Thank you again to all those who serve and please take a moment this Veterans Day to thank someone who fought for us, our rights, and our freedoms.
