Vision for Longmont
We live in a great community — one built with vision and purpose. We are the beneficiaries of forward-thinking leaders that invested in water, roads, safety, jobs, schools, open space and recycling. We've also inherited a tradition of community involvement and inclusion. We are the caretakers of these gifts on behalf of generations to come.

We can build on this foundation to make Longmont even better.

  • Create a pathway to prosperity: We need to give stability and certainty to our business community, with a special focus on the Twin Peaks Mall and Downtown.
  • Strengthen accountability: We need to make our government more accountable and transparent by making the city's online budget searchable.
  • Advocate for Longmont and its citizens: We need to actively and positively engage with neighboring communities and intergovernmental groups to safeguard the needs of residents.

About Katie
Like many of their Longmont neighbors, Katie and her husband, Dan, moved to Longmont over 15 years ago to give their children a hometown — a place to belong. Their children have been the beneficiaries of a great education in St. Vrain Valley School District schools.

Katie has volunteered as a Cub Scout den mother and a soccer team manager. She served on the Longmont Human Relations Commission for several years, and was a facilitator for Longmont Community Justice Partnership. She has shown commitment to the political process by volunteering for candidates and causes, as well as participating as a candidate herself.

Katie announced her candidacy to the Times-Call on March 20.
